OK all of you sports card obsessed collectors, do you have a special card or even cards that you can never seem to find in all your searches of eBay and other trading card sites.
I just may be able to help you find and obtain that elusive gem of your collection
What I am about to propose has been run past Super Moderator Matt26 who has indicated that the other mods do not have a problem (so Mods can you make this a sticky)
I will be attending all 5 days of the 2010 National Card Show in Baltimore (August 4 to 8) and am prepared to spend some of that time looking for cards for members on this site. This is how it will work
1 You provide me with a list of the cards that you want to look for. (Limited to 5 cards for now although that could change depending on interest)
2 You must provide by the end of June 2010 (I will be flying out mid to late July), some or all the money to purchase the card (More on this later). In other words you need to have an idea of the amount you are willing to spend to get the card
3 It can either be that that is the maximum that you want to spend or you may tell me to go say 10% higher. For example Nick (Verse1) asks me to look for the elusive Augustin logoman and gives me $100 and asks me to go to $110. When I get back Nick pays the extra cash and gets his logoman
4 If I have to spend my money the card will not exchange hands until the extra cash has been paid.
5 I will endeavour to obtain receipts for all purchases.
Unfortunately I have to set some rules in place
1 To participate you must have been an active member for at least 12 months as at January 2010. I will also look for cards for members whose 12 month anniversary falls in February 2010, March 2010, April 2010 and May 2010.
2 You must have minimum feedback of 40 with a 100% rating.
3 Feedback will be exchanged so if you tell me to spend a certain amount above the cash provided and then refuse to pay the difference then negative feedback will be left.
4 If 3 does happen then the card will be sold on eBay and from the sale I will recover what I spent and you will receive the balance or you original money back, whatever is the lesser of the two. If there is any money left over after this then the profit goes to OzCardTrader.
Now here comes the part we all love, paying for the cards.
My preference would be that the money be provided up front, however it is appreciated that option may probably not be the best. Also I do not want to have to pay for the cards up front myself. Therefore the following has been agreed to by the Mods
If you want to spend up to $150 then you provide at least 50% of the cash
If you want to spend over $150 then you provide at least 75%
Anything over $300 will have to be worked out between me and the member
Please only post on this thread if you want me to look for a card at the show providing full details being

It will make it easier to track the request that way rather than they get lost in my pm’s
