What next in cards?
We've seen memoribilia done to death - floors, chairs, headbands, towels, jerseys, shorts, pants, shooting shirts, nets. I've probably missed some and the only thing not there is jockstraps!
We've just seen thanks TOPPS the refractor and printing plate done to death
We've just seen thanks TOPPS the logoman and letterman done to death.
Autos are becoming easier to pull and we've seen it here the disappointment when a live box break doesn't pull an auto.
I remember back in the day when there was no such thing as inserts let alone all this other stuff. Pulling a bird or jordan made your pack worthwhile. No i'm not being old and cynical!!!
BUT what would you like to see the card companies do next?
Personally I'd like to see -
1. Holograms brought back. I have some great holograms and i'm sure we all know these sets - 91-92 award winners, 92-93 award winners, 93-94 triple double, spx (Back in the early 90s)
2.Maybe limit productions runs, lets make the sets/base a bit more collectable. Not necessarily numbered though (ie. Ultimate)
3.Redemptions for full game worn pieces. Would start to be a bit of a problem if you pulled a few - only so much room in the POOL ROOM
4. Redemptions for DVDs, - include pontel in this. Would be cool to pull a card that says "hey, you get to relive the moment where Jordan scores on bryon russel's head again and again"
5. Redemptions for personalised autos
