Topps Finest ####

Hey Peeps,

Ive seen everyones box breaks of Finest & congrats uh hum the Kobe :smt112.....and i must say i think finest is a very nice product.
But is it just me or does Topps Finest seem to have more and more numbered cards?

Personally i think it is just a way to sell the product better assuring u of the numbered or lower numbered cards.
A big diffrence from 03-04 Finest i think lesser #'d cards the better or even a bigger gap between numbers instead of 19 to 29 or 39 whatever it is ??
Does anyone agree?

I agree - I dont think this years Finest has anything on last years on the 03-04 Finest.

Last year was good for a Novelty, but there were decent Dual Autos, RC Autos etc that you could pull from packs. This year, I havent seen a break that has been really that fantastic at all.

fully agree just look at Marcus Camby for example there are 23 different cards of him. 10 of which are 1/1s

I guess on the + side - u have a good chance of getting a nice Camby - I've already lassooed 2 KG #21/ from this years finest - there's plenty to go around - that's for sure.....

Definately an over-kill.

BUT... I also look at it, in the advantage of bigger players (not saying Camby isnt one) but it allows everyone to get in on the action, and not just 1 person having the ONLY Superfractor etc...

I mean 04-05 There was only 1 Superfractor of Devin Harris, I didnt buy the $200BIN, and missed out... I was considering buying it, and talking to the seller about it, and next day it sold....

I agree, way to many refractor variations, I would liked to have seen maybe dual auto's (it was fun getting all of them last year). And maybe Dual Patch cards would be nice. Maybe they will try something different next year. I hope so !!!!!

out of 8 boxes from my cases,we have already pulled 2 wade auto's #rd/25 and #rd/5 and an iverson auto #/25.

what more can you ask for???????????

i think they have limited the player selection too small though.

I think the majority of us would prefer to have more chance of pulling a smaller semi-star auto rather than the very small chance of pulling a limited star auto or 1/1


I would hate to think how many wade and iverson cards in this set.

Well I did say from what i've seen - obviously I havent seen any of your breaks.

But a couple of Wades dont make a product fantastic. Someone else said it all - I think we would rather the chance of pulling some middle of the range autos then the crap you get with upper Deck where it is either "Hit or Shit". Thats what Finest seems to be this year.
