Hello everyone and best wishes for a happy and successful 2012. My name is Craig Leyshon and my partner and I have started a business called Card Grading Australia. We have undertaken research and developement for around 18 months so we are not entering this field on a whim. I have 30 years experience in the printing industry, as a printer, in quality control and in management roles, which means I know exactly what to look at in regards to the condition of trading cards. A long time love of cards has also pointed me in this direction. We have a number of magnifiers and microscopes to examine different aspects of cards. We are offering a range of 3 grading services, Comprehensive, Autographed and Certified. Comprehensive and Autographed will see the cards 'slabbed' with our brand new, latest model ultrasonic welder which is due for delivery early in February. Our Certified grading is aimed at mid to lower level cards and is ideal for bulk lots of lower end cards. These are sealed in top loaders with tamper proof holograms, simply to make them more affordable.
Purchasing all of our equipment has meant a substantial investment which means we intend to offer our services long term. We will attend as many collectable shows as possible during 2012 and beyond to meet and greet and answer questions face to face.
Two things are very important to us. Firstly, we are completely independant. We do not sell or trade cards at all, we will be grading cards only. Secondly, consistency of grading is vital. We have developed a grading system which we believe is second to none in offering consistency. Further to this, we also offer a worldwide first of detailed written reports. These will detail any and all imperfections found on each card.
At this early stage we do not have a reputation and realise that it takes time to earn a solid reputation. Feel free to contact us by any means and we will answer all queries asap.
