Exporting checklists from Beckett website

Couldnt paste to a thread? I can do it, but it looks horrible. Most forums don't accommodate for it.

Google Docs link would work great, cos it's hosted online in your Google Account, and you can update it whenever you want, and the link doesnt change (say if you linked it to your sig).

Google docs worked

Absolute champion you are mate. Thanks for the help.

better site for sure, not sure how accurate though. Lists 1512 camby cards. My spreadsheet from Beckett 1623. Also the printable version doesn't list the full version of the card, so parallels are listed the same as the base.

My understanding is that tradingcarddb is like wiki where it relies on users to update it, so it is succeptible to wrong andissing info!

Ive done comparisons between beckett and tradingcarddb for fleshing out my master checklist a while ago, and found beckett far more comprehensive and accurate. I copy and paste in directly from beckett and then have created a series of macros in excel to strip the data of any extraneous info (eg. the hyperlinks, zero space padding of card numbers for sorting purposes, removing checkboxes etc etc). It thus makes it easy when new series are released on the beckett listings to add them in to my existing worksheet.

Just more on this one guys, does anyone know the easiest way in Excel to remove (delete) text from a cell?

Here's my query...

177 Devin Harris XRC
177 Devin Harris
177 Devin Harris
177 Devin Harris
140 Devin Harris XRC
23 Tony Parker/Ben Gordon/Andre Miller/Devin Harris
I want to remove the card numbers at the start, but leave the rest of the data.

I could do it in stages of removing them based upon a width, but some cells have longer numbers than others, and it's too much mucking around.

EDIT:
I'm trying to do a How-To for this stuff, and this one has me held up.

Wz, I created a macro to do something similar, by first making all the card numbers three digits long by zero padding the front of all card numbers. This also makes sorting by numbers easier , so cards numbered 1 became 001, 72 072 etc.
That away I can then delimit by a fixed width.

Oh yeah, I see. How does that work for non-numbered cards, or cards numbered with alphas?

Also, how do you do that when the number is already in the same field as the description/player names?

I can see it working for a separate number column (which I've got), bit confused on this bit,
